The Australasian Spa Association (ASpa) is a non-profit association established to, in partnership with industry, promote professionalism and standards, raise awareness with the global community, and grow a vibrant and sustainable spa, health and wellness industry.
ASpa is committed to protecting the privacy of the members. The information collected on the membership application/renewal is for the purpose of processing your membership application/renewal and providing membership services to members of ASpa. At no time will ASpa sell information as recorded on your membership application/renewal to a third party.
ASpa’s Privacy Policy will be reviewed from time to time to take account of new laws, changes to our operations and practices and to make sure it remains appropriate to our changing environment.
Use of Personal information
ASpa conducts business via the website and provides members with access to member’s information, education, networking events, materials and details of other relevant news and events. It conducts research and undertakes projects on a range of issues affecting the spa industry. In providing membership services you may receive materials from groups which have affiliations with ASpa.
From time to time ASpa maybe approached by other groups to distribute materials to our members this will be done at the discretion of the Board.
Scope of information collected by ASpa
ASpa collects and holds information regarding our members. The information collected may also be used by ASpa to undertake education and research.
Release of information
ASpa may disclose business names and websites of members to the public via the public area of the website. ASpa may disclose to the members contact details such business and/or personal name (in the case of a therapist), phone, fax and email details of members in the members area of the website.
Concerns about a breach of privacy
If you are concerned that ASpa may have handled your personal information inappropriately, please contact our Association Manager on 0430 033 174. All privacy enquiries are to be taken seriously and we will endeavour to deal with them promptly. In some cases, we may require that your concerns be put in writing.
